Stonewares webNetwork creates a private
cloud platform for a school district and provides a virtual web desktop to access
the cloud. The software is loaded on the districts servers and there
is nothing to load on the end users machines. Users are provided secure
web access to all applications, files, and resources with a single password,
anytime, anywhere, from any device with a browser.
The webNetwork private cloud platform has been specifically
adapted to the K-12 market to enable districts to reduce costs while expanding
access. Students and teachers are able to securely bring their own laptops to
school and/or work from home, saving the districts the costs associated with
providing laptops.
Additional features that are included in the webNetwork solution include:
- Teacher webPages allows teachers to create
and maintain their own web page for parents and students
- TeamPages a collaboration feature that allows
teams to collaborate on projects in a secure, web based team page. This is
ideal for collaboration among teachers, for IEPs, or even among district administration
- Reporting the fully functional, web based
reporting tool can be used to deliver important data regarding the performance
of teachers and students. This tool can create reports from any ODBC or JDBC
database to create a single report from multiple databases
- Mobile Interface allows secure access to files
and applications from any of the popular smart phones or tablet computers
- Calendaring create a single web based calendar
that integrates all of the district calendars into a single view. Integrate
Outlook or Groupwise calendars and expose to the web for any authorized user
to see
- Parent Portal allows the district to create
a parent portal that provides one place to go, with a single password, for
parents to access critical information on their students in the district

FTEs in a district. A district license must be purchased to get the FTE price.

- Device based - $25 per device. Any user can access

lab or a subset of the district population
