WLS and Follett Software Company have partnered to help provide outstanding Library and Resource Management solutions to all Washington State Schools and Districts. The WLS/Follett Destiny solution is a hosted only solution where all data is stored and delivered by the Washington Learning Source. This solution does not apply to schools or districts that wish to host their own Destiny server. The Destiny Resource Management Solution includes the following components:

Destiny Library Manager

• Centralizes and streamlines library management across all schools.
• Provides circulation, cataloging, searching, reporting and management in one powerful-easy to use solution.
• Promotes student achievement and strengthens the library-curriculum connection through subscription services that expand information access for students and teachers.

Destiny Textbook Manager

• Enables total, web-based tracking and management of a districts third largest expenditure--textbooks.
• Improves accessibility and accountability, ensuring textbooks are available and in the hands of students.
• Robust reporting helps save time and money managing costly resources.

Destiny Asset Manager

• Optimizes access, availability and use of all your districts assets through browser-based tracking and management.
• Identifies asset accountability throughout the district.
• Improves accuracy and efficiency in creating government-mandated reports.

Schools and districts may choose Destiny Library Manager, and may also add Destiny Textbook Manager, and Destiny Asset Manager. Curriculum enhancements include:

WebPath Express - This service automatically inserts thousands of professionally selected, age and grade appropriate websites into your Destiny library database. Students and other library users can search your library collection and find high quality websites, maintained by Follett, in the same search.

Standards Searching - Standards Searching provides for the ability to search your library collection, and to search professionally selected websites by Washington State Standards. This makes it easy for teachers, librarians, and other users to find materials, in the library or on the web, that support Washington Standards.

One Search - This service allows library users to search their Destiny Library database and many other on-line databases with a single search. Students in Washington can search their Library, ProQuest, Elibrary, and over 100 other databases, all with one search. All of the results come back on one page, with no additional passwords needed for searching these databases.

After the first year, schools will have the option of renewing these subscriptions.

There are two pricing components to purchasing Destiny products: Licensing and Hosting:

License Pricing

Each of the modules listed in the Destiny Products column can be purchased separately or as a bundle. Schools may purchase licensing through the WLS at reduced prices as compared with purchasing directly from Follett and hosting within their own districts. Hosting Pricing

The savings per school vary based on the number of schools in a district. Regardless of district size, a district will pay less in each instance by choosing the hosting option rather than hosting on its own.
